PortSync Engine ("PortSync," "we," "us," or "our") is a self-hosted portfolio engine developed by Praveen Ojha. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you purchase, download, and use the PortSync software, or visit our website at praveenojha.com/portsync.
When you purchase a PortSync license through Gumroad, Paddle, or offline purchase, we receive your name, email address, and transaction details. Payment processing is handled by Gumroad or Paddle- we do not store your credit card or financial information. For offline purchases, payment details are handled directly and not stored digitally on our systems.
For license verification purposes, we store your generated license key, email address, and the domain your license is locked to. This data is used solely to verify your license during container activation and is not used for any other purpose. We do not share this data with any third parties.
PortSync is a self-hosted application. Once deployed on your server, all data- including App Store listings, blog posts, newsletters, support tickets, user content, and AI-generated content- is stored exclusively on your own infrastructure. We have no access to, and do not collect, any data from your self-hosted instance.
If you use the BYOL (Bring Your Own LLM) feature, your API keys for OpenAI, Google Gemini, Anthropic, or any local LLM are stored in your own database (Firebase, Supabase, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB). We never transmit or store your API keys on our servers.
PortSync pulls publicly available data from the Apple App Store, Google Play Store, Chrome Web Store, and direct Web App links (app icons, screenshots, videos, descriptions, privacy policy links) at your direction. This data is fetched by your server and stored in your database. We do not proxy, cache, or retain any of this data.
If you contact us for technical support via the support form on our website, we collect your name, email, and message content to respond to your inquiry.
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We share data only with:
Since PortSync is self-hosted, the security of your application data is under your control. We recommend using HTTPS, strong database credentials, and keeping your Docker image updated. For purchase-related data processed through Gumroad or Paddle, industry-standard encryption and security measures apply.
Our website may use essential cookies for functionality (e.g., Gumroad checkout overlay). We do not use tracking cookies, analytics pixels, or advertising trackers on the PortSync landing page.
PortSync is a developer tool and is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
